Systems, Methods and Tools
- We developed and use our own tools to help define executive position needs and successful candidate characteristics and are publishing a book that describes its use, The Executive Position Plan.
- The many electronic and on-line databases we use are a great starting point, but are not enough by themselves to ensure success.
- We have developed our own proprietary databases.
- We consistently flowchart processes, develop checklists, and use quality-control checks.
- We use a defined interviewing process and checklist to generate consistent interview reports to our clients.
- All final candidates are background and experienced checked.
Team
Research
We try to hire the brightest degreed research executives we can find. Most have been prior managers in industry. They then go through extensive in-house training. We provide them the latest technology and tools.
Executive Search Consultants
Ours have experience at the VP level or above in industry and on corporate boards of directors. All have extensive training in generating Executive Position Plans and in all phases of our well documented search processes. Since "it's not what you expect, it's what you inspect," all aspects of a search are reviewed internally.
Operations and Quality Managers
All have corporate board experience and general management experience. All have owned all or most of other companies. All train by inspection and assure speed and quality for our clients.
Our Search Operations Manager
Glenn Johnson has over 25 years experience in Executive Search and Technical Recruiting. Prior to corporate recruiting, Glenn was with Coopers Lybrand CPAs, Main LaFrentz CPAs, and Hewlett Packard Corporation where he had several management positions. His experience also includes time heading an investment banking group that originated LBO loans for insurance companies. He has degrees in both engineering and accounting, and served as Graduate and Undergraduate Student Body President at Golden Gate University. He is the co-author of Identifying Placing and Evaluating Employees published in 1994 by Times Mirror/Business Erwin and, more recently, The Executive Business Plan, with publication due in late 2004.
Glenn is a successful businessman and multi-business owner. He has experience on a variety of boards of directors - - from a financial institution to a production CNC machining operation. Other boards include real estate holding companies, computer network services, property management, food distribution, sales and marketing consulting, search and recruiting, engineering and executive leasing, and computer-aided engineering companies.
Glenn has conducted Retained Executive Searches for many Board Members, Company and Division Presidents, CIOs, COOs, CFOs, and the entire gamut of Vice Presidents, Directors and Managers.
